Early predictions for Super Bowl

How did your team fare this weekend? Is your team looking like a Super Bowl contender?  Former 49ers Quarterback Joe Montana told Yahoo! Sports Radio, " Everybody in the Bay Area is excited to see how it's going to go.  Their defense played spectacular last year, and if they can even come close to that, I think the've got a good chance of going all the way."  Joe Cool isn't the only one thinking this way.

Sunday Football is back!

Sports fans had lots of options last weekend with baseball and NFL and College football. The Packers and 49ers faced one of the most competitive contests in the NFL's opening weekend schedule of games.  Wide receiver Randy Moss made his return to Lambeau Field to face a Packers team he’s caught 15 touchdowns against all-time.

LaDainian Tomlinson's Second Career

LaDainian Tomlinson isn't sitting still.  Only retired since June, he is quickly embarking on his second career. The 2006 MFL MVP is joining NFL Network and Sirius XM Radio as a broadcaster. He'll be on NFL Networks new Sunday morning show, 'First on the Field." as well as host fantasy football for Sirius XM.  AS a Charger and Jets, Tomlinson rushed for 13,684 yards, fifth on the career list, and scored 162 touchdowns, third most ever.  Looking forward to tuning in and hearing his perspective.

Randy Moss and Terrell Owens in a tie

Randy Moss shares a common thread with Terrell Owens. They are both tied for second on the all-time touchdown reception list.  Moss and Owens both have 153 TD catches; Jerry Rice owns the record of 197. Even though Moss is 35 and may not be fast, his work out ethic at practice is above many of the younger kids.  Its probably why the 49ers signed him. Can't wait to see what he does on the field this season and who will catch up to Rice faster.

Raider Ben Davidson Passes Away

NSD had the pleasure of working with former Raider Ben Davidson. With the passing of Ben Davidson, he will always be remembered by us not only for his great play on the field, but also his kindness, handlebar mustache and williness to please us during our signings. When one remembers the look and style of the old Raiders team, Ben Davidson comes to mind. Ben Davidson will be missed.

1920 and 1924 US Olympic Rugby Teams Inducted into IRB Hall of Fame!

My Great, Great Uncle Philip Clark was part of the 1924 US Olympic Team that won the Gold Metal in France. Today, the International Rubgy Board located in Ireland inducted the 1920 and the 1924 US Olympic Gold Metal Teams and all the players into their Hall of Fame. This is quite an honor not only for these individuals but also for the rugby development, growth and recognization taking place here in the United States. Congratulations to these two great teams! Robert Hemphill, President NSD.

LaDainian Tomlinson Retires as a Charger!

LaDainian Tomlinson retired today as a San Diego Charger. Here at NSD we worked with LaDainian Tomlinson a few times and he always was very nice, charming and a pleasure to be around. His onfield and off field manners set a good example for our children. San Diego should be proud of LaDainian Tomlinson. Congratulations LaDainian Tomlinson!

Congratulations on Matt Cain's Perfect Game!

Wow! What a game for Matt Cain and the entire San Francisco Giants team and organization! Matt Cain did a great job striking out 14 in the Giants first Perfect Game in their team's history. Only 22 Perfect Games have been thrown in the history of Major League Baseball. How about Buster Posey's performance behind the plate, working with Matt Cain and calling every pitch! Everything had to be perfect for a perfect game to take place, from the Umpire's calls to great defense by the Giants. Congratulations to Matt Cain in his Perfect Game!

Easy Way to Get Free Wireless Service

I have found a great way to get free wireless service for your life! I stumbled across this, did some research and now have found it very true. Basically speaking, a company called Lightyear Wireless gives you free wireless service if you refer 5 new accounts to them. I would suggest referring about 7 new accounts as you must always have 5 active an yours is then free every month.

Junior Seau Death

Junior Seau died on May 2, 2012. He was a great linebacker for the Chargers, Dolphins and the Patriots and a fine player that will always be remembered. Over the years we have worked with Junior Seau and he was always very pleasant. Our prayers go out to his family and friends.
