Gale Sayers Plaque

This Bears Gale Sayers Plaque is 15" x 12" with a vintage 8x10 photo, a deluxe engraved plate and a real football card. Gale Sayers was a one-of-a-kind player and it was unfortunate that we could only witness his greatness for a short 5 year career due to injury, but those 5 years were something special. Gale made his biggest impact in his very first season in the NFL where he would gain 2,272 all-purpose yards, score 22 touchdowns (an NFL rookie record), and would tie the NFL record for most touchdowns in a single game where he would rumble for 6 touchowns (4 rushing, 1 receiving, and a punt return touchdown) to cap off a 61-20 blowout win versus the 49ers. Gale would go on to win Rookie of the Year honors. In Gale's other seasons he would be named a First team All Pro 5 times, the Comeback Player of the Year in '69 and a 2x NFL Rushing Yards leader to cap off a Hall of Fame career.
