When Roger Goodell became the commissioner in 2006, all NFL game footballs used in the games have the team's name on the football. Each team for each game receives 9 footballs with their name imprinted on the football in large letters just under the NFL Logo panel. These footballs have been very rare and generally available only for the games. These footballs are known as Team Issued NFL Game Model Footballs.
